What happens to the photo
You select the image
Apple’s system photo picker lets you choose a specific dog photo instead of granting Paw Atlas unrestricted library access.
The app prepares it locally
Cropping, optimization, and metadata removal happen on the device before the personal puzzle is saved.
The puzzle stays yours
The image, thumbnail, and progress use Paw Atlas’s private local storage. Nothing is uploaded by the app.
Sharing is deliberate
A completion card is created only after you choose Share on the completion screen and open Apple’s share sheet.

How to make a dog photo puzzle

Open My Dogs
Use the My Dogs tab to see personal puzzles and the option to create one.

Choose and crop
Select a dog photo, set the square crop, and confirm the local import.

Solve and revisit
Play at 3 × 3 through 6 × 6, keep your progress, and return whenever you like.

Dog photo puzzles, uploads, and limits
Are dog photos uploaded?
No. The shipped app has no app-owned backend; selected photos are processed and stored locally.
Can I make unlimited personal puzzles?
One creation is included per installation. My Dog Studio unlocks unlimited creations as a one-time purchase.
Can I remove a personal puzzle?
Yes. Delete it from My Dogs to remove its image, thumbnail, and associated local progress.
