Playing puzzles

How do I move a portrait tile?

Drag one square tile onto another to swap them. You can also tap one tile and then tap its destination. VoiceOver actions provide an accessible way to select and move tiles.

Can I play without a timer?

Yes. The timer is off by default. If you enjoy keeping a personal time, you can turn it on in Settings.

What happens when I use a hint?

Hints are unlimited. A portrait hint helps you find the next placement, while a story hint shows the intended order. Using one does not prevent completion.

Where is my progress saved?

Puzzle progress is stored locally on your device so you can stop and continue later. Paw Atlas does not use an account or cloud sync.

My Dog puzzles

Are my dog photos uploaded?

No. You select a photo with Apple’s photo picker, and Paw Atlas processes and stores it only on your device. The app removes location and other embedded metadata during import.

Why can’t I create another personal puzzle?

One personal puzzle creation is included per installation. After it has been used, My Dog Studio is needed to create more. Deleting the first puzzle does not reset the included creation.

How do I delete a personal puzzle?

Open My Dogs, choose the puzzle, and use Delete. This removes its saved image, thumbnail, and local progress from the app.

Can I share a completed puzzle?

Yes. Sharing happens only when you choose it from the completion screen. The app creates a local completion card and hands it to Apple’s share sheet.

Access and settings

How do I restore my purchases?

Open Settings in Paw Atlas and choose Restore Purchases. Make sure the device is signed in to the same Apple Account used originally, then allow the App Store a moment to verify access.

Will I lose progress after a refund or revocation?

Your completed progress stays stored locally. Authored content may relock if its access is revoked, while existing personal puzzles remain playable and only new creation relocks.

What accessibility options are supported?

Paw Atlas supports VoiceOver-friendly puzzle actions, Larger Text, Reduced Motion, sufficient contrast, and state cues that do not rely on color alone.

Can I turn off sound and haptics?

Yes. Ambient sound, sound effects, and haptics each have their own switch in Settings.

Still need a paw?
